Dr Sandersan Onie was awarded an Innovation Grant for research titled ‘A randomised controlled trial of a targeted help-provision campaign for individuals searching online for suicide means’.

Researcher statement: Receiving this grant is important because it allows us to explore new methods for early intervention. Past research has shown that people might search for suicide means related terms prior to an attempt, and this grant will allow us to test the efficacy of an intervention while they are doing so. Using existing infrastructure means we can develop tailored interventions, ensuring each individual is presented with information that is most effective for them’
