Tribute to Allison Milner

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Associate Professor Allison Milner. Our most heart-felt condolences go to her family, friends and colleagues at this time.

Allison supported the work of Suicide Prevention Australia with passion, professionalism and good humour. She was a star performer at the National Suicide Prevention Conference three weeks ago.

Allison was a strong contributor to the work of the Suicide Prevention Research Fund, just last week participating as a panelist assessing Expressions of Interest for Innovation Grants. Her dedication, enthusiasm, care and intelligence was always abundantly evident, as was the overwhelming respect of her colleagues.

Allison has left an indelible mark on the suicide prevention research landscape and on the many of us who work in this sector and whose lives she touched. We are united in our sadness of this great loss. Allison will be missed.
