Diego De Leo Presenting Sponsor: Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention

The Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP) was established in 1996 as part of Griffith University’s ongoing commitment towards better public health for all Australians. The aim of AISRAP is to promote, conduct, and support comprehensive intersectoral programs of research activities and inform best practice for the prevention of suicidal behaviours nationally, and internationally.  AISRAP developed a comprehensive database system, known as the Queensland Suicide Register (QSR), which is a primary resource for research and provides information on suicide mortality. AISRAP also provides expertise in evaluation of research and community suicide prevention programs and activities, advice on evidence based best practice, and implications of national and international data on suicide.
